pregnancy calendar
, your uterus is about 1.5 inches above your navel.
You are probably really starting to feel those kicks and jabs from the baby - you may even be able to see these bumps!
You may notice - or better yet, your partner may notice - that you're having some wild mood swings. Don't worry - this is totally normal, but not necessarily pleasant!
Stress may be settling in. Try various relaxation techniques, including yoga. Yoga is a great de-stresser. If you don't have time to go to a class, a DVD can be just as helpful.
Baby
If your baby is born now (which hopefully it won't be!), it actually has a chance of survival. The baby is filling out, and the sagging skin is starting to fit his or her frame. The baby will really start to gain weight this week. By the end of your sixth month, the baby should be about double the weight he or she is now!
The bones in the middle ear start to harden.
At this point, you can still see the baby's organs, bones and veins through his or her skin. But once the baby starts to pack on the pounds and the fat, he or she won't be as transparent.
