Mommy
Your
pregnancy week by week
is developing so rapidly!
You may still be experiencing gum bleeding, and nosebleeding. Your heart is pumping an extra 40% to 50% blood, which increases the blood volume. Hence all your exaggerated veins all over your skin!
You may also be continuing to experience nasal congestion due to changes in your estrogen levels. Try using a saline solution to alleviate congestion - it's a natural substance with no medication. Over-the-counter medications may not be safe. Discuss with your pharmacist or health care practitioner.
Your abdomen may still be achy due to all those stretching ligaments!
Baby
You may actually be able to start feeling your baby move right about now! Don't fret if you don't - every pregnancy is different. If you are overweight, or if this is your first pregnancy, you may not feel the movements yet. It may take a little longer to start feeling the baby move, but as the baby's bones harden, you're more likely to feel the movements!
As the legs and arms grow, movement of the limbs becomes more frequent, especially while there's still room to move about within the uterus.
Nails on fingers and toes are starting to grow!
Remember that every woman's pregnancy week by week may be slightly different, but will generally look like the weeks described. If you feel that you are way off on these development timelines, see your health care practitioner. Your gut instinct will tell you a lot!
